Looks like Universal is all about ramping up their old properties instead of trying to come up with new shit, but what else is new? The latest Universal property on the docket is The Creature from the Black Lagoon. While the film is still int he rumors stage, like the “real” reason Reese Witherspoon split with Gyllenhaal, they are reportedly in talks with Director Carl Erik Rinsch.

Rinsch is apparently being groomed to be Universal’s latest buttboy director. His first work that you’ll probably be aware of is… another fucking remake! This gives new meaning to the phrase Rinsch and repeat… oh snap. Major pun action. Rinsch will be directing the Keanu Reeves-starring remake 47 Ronin. Yeah… Keanu Reeves as a fucking samurai. At least he’s got the whole “peaceful warrior” thing down since his face was apparently infused with BOTOX.
