One of the few movies that slipped through my grasp at the theaters recently, will finally be making its way to DVD sometime in 2010. Moon, the Sam Rockwell vehicle about a dude in space, will be making a landing on January, 12, 2010.
Moon is about the following: Astronaut Sam Bell has a quintessentially personal encounter toward the end of his three-year stint on the Moon, where he, working alongside his computer, GERTY, sends back to Earth parcels of a resource that has helped diminish our planet’s power problems.
Moon will come in two versions: the standard DVD and the Blu-Ray version. Standard Rape Price for the DVD’s is as follows, 28 for the standard and 38 for the Blu-Ray. Of course, you can pre-order it for way cheaper by clicking on the poster above.
Special Features include the following:
- Commentary with Writer/Director Duncan Jones, Director of Photography Gary Shaw, Concept Designer Gavin Rothery and Production Designer Tony Noble
- “Whistle” a Short Film by Duncan Jones
- Commentary with Writer/Director Duncan Jones and Producer Stuart Fenegan
- The Making of Moon
- Creating the Visual Effects
- Science Center Q&A with Director Duncan Jones
- Filmmaker’s Q&A at the Sundance Film Festival
It sounds great; I can’t wait to get my hands on this one.
